Residential landlords have told their tenants that they will obtain high money value from local public services because of the increment in the council tax collection rate. Local Government Minister John Healey has revealed that the councils were trying to save £3.2bn for the last 4 years. He said that the councils are consistently enhancing their council tax collection rate and I praise their hard work.

‘‘I appeal to the councils that they should not reduce the intensity of pressure, rather work well to catch the arrears and improve the rates of collection. The tax rates united with the first three year settlement that will provide every council a raise in funding. Then it ultimately will keep the Government in a powerful financial level.’’

He further said, ‘‘Councils must efficiently spend the taxes as they assemble them. This September, councils are likely to unveil that they have got cashable gains of £3.2bn for the last four years, equals to £123 off the average Band D council tax bill.’’
