The writing of a good character reference letter for renting a home is not a tedious task. Landlords always try to look for the tenants, who can pay the monthly rent on time and will not harm their renting place. But it is not always possible to get a good renter. It is better to get a character reference letter from a third party for avoiding the heating arguments on any of the renting issues between the landlord and the tenant. The third party could be tenant’s friend or relative. It depends solely on third party how he presents the character of the person for whom the character reference letter will be written.
The rental application is constructed to collect the necessary information about the tenant so that the landlord can decide whether the tenant will be a good or bad tenant. It is not difficult for the third party to write a few short paragraphs about the social background and history of the concerned person.
If the third party is bewildering about what should be written in character reference letter then all he needs to do is to look over the rental application. Pick any three or four questions which you find are simple to answer. One thing you should never forget is to write your own contact information at the end of the letter.
These guidelines are enough for you to write a good character reference letter. It is always expected from you that you will not be biased with the reference letter and will put honest information for the landlord.
