1. Understand all related expenses

First important thing for you to remember thoroughly is to understand the incurred expenses before and after the renting apartment. There are lots of costs involved in renting an apartment. It includes mortgage payment, real estate taxes and insurance which are generally easily understood by the landlords. But they forget about the other important costs like maintenance, vacancy periods, bad debts, and city taxes, capital expenditures such as new flooring, a new roof, or an air conditioner.

2. The direct and straightforward communication

A direct and frank communication is very important in building up the strong relation in between the landlord and the tenant. Do not parlance with them at the time of rent payment only. In deed take regular follow up and ask if they are happy and comfortable in the new house or not.
