Did you know that landlords and tenants have certain responsibilities to adhere? Are you unaware of any the responsibilities? The occurrence of disputes between landlords and tenants is a common scenario, which can be handled effectively by being aware of their rights and responsibilities. To begin with let us, begin with understanding the responsibilities that are required to be fulfilled by tenants. These responsibilities would inclusive of paying rent, keeping the property proper or causing any damage, and even sublease or increase the number of occupants in the property without the authorization of the landlords.

Even the landlords have certain responsibilities to indulge in towards their tenants. These responsibilities of the landlords would constitute taking care of the ordinary tear and wear of the property, making the property habitable for the tenants, refrain from unlawful discrimination, and written notification of transfer of property. This list is also inclusive of no turning off the gas, electricity or water supply to the tenants. Compliance to these responsibilities can ensure a healthy relationship between the landlords and tenants.

An ideal way to chalk out these responsibilities between the landlords and the tenants is to process a written agreement, which has consent from both these parties. In this manner, you can have all the issues that need to addressed for better coordination between landlords and tenants can be placed on this agreemen, and an understanding can be achieved thereon.
