The landlord protection insurance should be obtained by the landlord before renting property. But before purchasing the insurance, assess the insurance policy thoroughly so that it would not negatively impact you in future because of any unwanted clause. If you are going to sign up for landlord protection insurance policy, then look over some factor that should be included in the insurance.
1. Malicious Damage/Accidental Damage
It covers damages caused by a tenant such as holes in walls, cracked doors and international damage to floor coverings and unintentional damage caused by loyal tenants.
2. Rent default and theft
When a tenant has to pay you rent but suddenly he leaves town or steals some precious items, a properly structured landlord protection insurance policy will cover these events. But the policy will pay a certain period of week rent.
3. Legal liability
Be assured that the insurance policy includes you for public liability. This will save during the uncertain events like injury to tenant or sue you for destructions.
